Fowler Jones is a Licensed Psychologist / Health Care Provider. Dr. Jones received his Masters degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Missouri in 1967 and his Doctorate Degree (Ed.D) from the University of Kansas in 1974. Dr. Jones was a Diplomat of the American Association of Medical Psychotherapists and a past consultant for the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. Dr. Jones is licensed by the State of Missouri in the private practice of Psychology, and is further certified as a Psychological Health Service Provider.

Dr. Jones received four years of multi-disciplinary training at the University of  Kansas Medical School, where he received clinical supervision and training from psychologists and psychiatrists with the Department of Psychiatry and with the Children’s Rehabilitation Unit.

Dr. Jones background includes more than twenty-five years of active service as a faculty member of the University of Kansas Medical Center, Department of Psychiatry where he still holds the rank of Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry (Division of Psychology).

Dr. Jones treats children, adolescents and adults, and offers individual, family and marital counseling. His approach to psychotherapy varies with the problem presented and the needs of each client. He uses an insight-oriented, developmental approach to psychotherapy, but he does not hesitate to apply cognitive therapy techniques and behavioral therapy when needed. Hypnosis and Biofeedback are also useful tools that he employs, depending on the needs of the client.
